1. Fab City Summit
When: Wednesday 11th July – Friday 13th July
Where: Paris, France
About the Event: This summit is part of the Fab City Global Initiative, where various cities officially pledge to join the effort against climate change, improve access to technology for social innovation, and develop a model to produce what they consume within 4 decades.
2. São Paulo Design Weekend – DW!
When: Wednesday 29th August – Sunday 2nd September
Where: São Paulo, Brazil
About the Event: The 7th DW! will be brimming over with hundreds of events and activities celebrating Latin American design. There will be trade fairs, exhibitions, product launches, seminars, lectures, installations, receptions and cocktail parties, shows, contests and more.
3. Paris Design Week
When: Friday 7th September – Saturday 15th September
Where: Paris, France
About the Event: This is the second instalment of Maison&Objet’s trade fair showcasing products for every design sector. The event will include promenades, cocktails, exhibitions, design shows and open studios with work by emerging designers, students and graduates.
4. London Design Biennale
When: Tuesday 4th September – Sunday 23rd September
Where: London, UK
About the Event: The theme for the 2018 London Design Biennale is ‘Emotional States’, exploring the impact of design on our lives, emotions and experiences. Designers from more than 35 cities and countries will be interpreting this theme through installations at Somerset House.
When: Tuesday 23rd October – Sunday 27th October
Where: Cologne, Germany
About the Event: Centered around the theme ‘culture@work’, this trade fair showcases everything from furniture, lighting and flooring to acoustics and media tools for the modern work environment. It also features panel discussions on best practices and trends with industry experts.
6. ICFF South Florida
When: Tuesday 4th December – Thursday 6th December
Where: Fort Lauderdale, USA
About the Event: This three-day event is part of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair that showcases unique design, innovation and artwork from around the globe. It will bring together thousands of interior designers, architects, artists, developers and luxury retail brands.
